A bold disruption for Phelps Nursery would be creating a mobile application for customers. The app would provide the convenience of allowing customers to make payments, schedule appointments, and get estimates without having to come into the nursery. Building an app will create an entirely new customer experience. A mobile app will help to increase brand awareness for Phelps Nursery. In turn, this will make people more loyal to the business. There are several immediate benefits to implementing a mobile app for the nursery. By utilizing push notifications within an app, we will be able to attract the attention of our customers more effectively. Customer engagement is another major perk to an app. Data from Nielsen shows that people spend an average of 30 hours per month on mobile apps. An app is a perfect way to reach our customer’s where they are. Going mobile also gives customers the impression that you are available to them 24/7. An app lets customers know that you are constantly visible. The app can also serve as a marketing channel where we can let customers know about anything new with the nursery.
If we were to market the mobile app, we could reach a larger audience and increase profit. We can start by promoting the app on the website or social media pages. Without having an app, Phelps Nursery could be losing customers without realizing it. Introducing an app will allow us to reach customers who only order or do business online. Overall, a mobile app can allow Phelps Nursery to cater to more people and leave customers will a better experience.
